I cannot help but wonder... how many times did the designers at Christian Dior watch or read Alice in Wonderland? Don't get me wrong, I love the fabrics and the theatrics: I think the whole production is just brilliant. The voluminous fabrics visually give the perception of flowers, the large up dos and plastic wrap (I could not think of a better word!) make me think they are little fairies. There is also a feeling of 50s that the style of dresses and up dos provide in addition to the use of the 'saran wrap' for lack of a better word. Don't know what to do with that left over tin foil or plastic wrap? Stick it in your hair!

Wood + neon lights = happiness!
A year ago, Adventitious Synesthesia, my senior thesis, was presented at the University of Michigan. It consisted of five pillars, made out of ostrander board and frosted plexi glass, each housing a neon colored tube light. The neon lights each coordinated to a sound frequency. I saw the below piece, and although it does not have the same level of interactivity, I definitely saw similarities! Wood + neon lights = happiness!
